Interested in Apprenticeship

The Inside Electrician Apprenticeship Program requires 8,000 OJT hours and 576+ Class hours. These hours are completed over the course of your apprenticeship and can be completed in 4 years with optimal conditions. After completing these OJT/RT hours and fulfilling any additional requirements, the Committee may send you to take your Oregon State Licensing Exam. Upon passing the exam you will become a Journeyman Inside Electrician.

Applications are only accepted once per year during our open enrollment in June. Please check our updates to stay up to date throughout the year.

      Minimum Requirements

  • 18 year of age or older
  • Official HS Diploma or GED
  • Official HS Transcript (2.5 GPA) or College Transcript (>12 credit, 2.5 GPA or better)

Additional Criteria

The Pre-Apprenticeship page will talk more about how to improve your chances of getting in the program by increasing the number of points your can get on your application.     Here is a list of pre-apprenticeship classes at LCC.
